Until a year or so ago, I didn’t really “get” Lululemon. I don’t do yoga or pilates. I don’t wear visors or caps or cute tube socks with flip-flops. And I don’t need “buttery soft” polyester hugging my lumpy butt. (My kids are way more scared of my bumpy rear than Barbie was of hers.)
But I am a hustler and I’ve sold on Kidizen, Mercari, Poshmark, and plenty of other resale sites. Used Lululemon leggings — acquired for $10 to $15 a pop at Goodwill — was selling at stupid online prices. So I ventured to the Lululemon outlet store (one of 19 in the country) thirty miles away.

It had gear I knew I could flip. And eventually, one day I ran out of clean laundry and I ripped off the tags and tried some of the merch.
When I die you can bury me in Lululemon sports bras and shorts. May the sweat-wicking, polyester-blend fabric outlast my bones and live an endearing legacy — artifacts — of my fleeting yet fashionable existence on earth.
Yes, the Lululemon outlet store deals are worth it!

I went there last weekend to make sure the deals were as good as I remembered. It had been several months since my last pilgrimage.
And the trip did not disappoint. Most merchandise in the Lululemon outlet is around 40% to 50% off, but for items, you can save up to 80% off.

And it’s true-blue, bonafide Lululemon gear. Not like GAP or Kate Spade or other brands that make lower-quality gear specifically for sale in outlet stores. Lululemon’s outlet stores have the same goods sold in stores and online. It’s real Lululemon, but at at Target prices. (Even a bit cheaper than Target, because let’s be real. Target’s activewear is way too spendy.)
What Lululemon outlet stores sell
Outlet stores tend to stock past-season goods or styles and colors that didn’t sell as well in stores, but the merchandise is different from the items in the online warehouse outlet sale.

Last Sunday I visited the location in Albertville, Minnesota earlier and scored $404 worth of merchandise for $136. That’s a whopping $268 discount or a savings of 66%.
Here’s what $136 gets you at a Lululemon outlet store:
- 2 All Day Breeze Bras for $15 each (normally $48) — 69% discount
- Align High-Rise Short 6″ for $29 (normally $64) — 55% discount
- Softstreme High-Rise Short 4″ for $19 (normally $78 and marked down to $39 online) — 76% discount
- Align High-Rise Crop 17″ for $29 (normally $88) — 67% discount
- All Aligned Mock Neck Long Sleeve top for $29 (normally $78) — 63% discount

I could have found better deals had I looked harder, and some not-so-great deals too, like the Define Jacket Luon only 40% off. But I went to the outlet store looking to stock up on some specific staples. It’s important to have a clear plan in mind if you’re heading for an outlet store, or else you’ll get overwhelmed by the endless deals.

More evergreen styles and colors, like black high-waist leggings, are going to be spendier than past-season orchids and mauves. But you can find just about anything and everything.

Lululemon outlet stores have Black Friday promotions too!
Lululemon outlet stores also have Black Friday promotions too. Their already-low prices drop even further. Last year, there was a $99 outfit deal. For $99, you could buy a pair of joggers or leggings, a long-sleeve top, a vest, and a winter beanie for $99.

My kids are Lululemon converts
My kids, ages 6 and 4, ar now brand converts. My son (aged 4) almost shoplifted a Lululemon baseball cap. The store security alarms thwarted his attempt. I just bought it for him for $9, and it’s the only cap I’ve got him that he willing wears.
And my fashionista-in-training daughter is obsessed with the super-soft Lululemon fabrics. When I wear their leggings and shorts, she pets by legs (in a very sweet, not-really-that-creepy sort of way).
