All About The Animal Observatory

The Animals Observatory (often referred to as The Animal Observatory) is a collection of elaborate prints and soft fabrics for babies and children. The style is casual and modern for bright-minded children living in the moment.

They are based in Barcelona, Cataluna, with high regard for sustainability in the high-end fashion world.

What is The Animals Observatory?

The Animals Observatory was co-founded by Laia Aguilar and Jan Andreu in 2015. Aguilar is the current creative director for the brand and Andreu is a shareholder.

Aguilar has prior design experience with Bobo Choses which she co-founded in 2008 and stayed with the company until 2014. She is unable to comment on why she left Bobo Choses and still claims the company as her “baby”.

The conception of The Animals Observatory was the result of a love at first sight scenario between two people: Jan Andreu and Laia Aguilar. Andreu loved what she did for Bobo Choses and proposed they join forces for a new children’s line. Aguilar sees children’s fashion as an artistic tool through which she can express her extraordinary world. It is a match made in heaven for the dynamic duo.
